This Moive in the Wolverine Saga is based on Frank Miller and Chris Claremont work in 1982 Comic-book take on the character. At that time in the story our hero was suffering from the effects of immortality and loss of the loved ones.
In this movie logan for the first time feels life in a different way because of the loss of the healing factor and experiences the pain and emotions.
Logan returns to the Canadian wilderness following the death of Jean Grey in X-Man the last Stand and the disbanding of the X-Men, where he is having hallucinations of Jean, whom he was forced to kill, and of the Nagasaki bombing in 1945.
Logan's struggle with immortality continues he realizes everyone he loves dies, and his whole life is full of pain. So it's better that he just escapes. He can't die really. He just wants to get away from everything.
'The Wolverine', directed by James Mangold, quickly becomes a love story between Logan and Yashida's granddaughter whom he must protect from the villains who want to kidnap her.
Well as expected the movie delivers on the action seqences as expected, there's are a few action set-pieces including a night-time ninja attack, a face-off with Silver samurai, and the best part of the movie for me particularly was the badass fight sequence on the roof of a bullet train.
The film's climax, which involves Wolverine in a battle against a giant robot Silver Samurai feels meh!!!, could have been much better it doesn't feel epic enough of a battle.
The main bad guy in the movie was Silver Samurai he was good but I felt he was a bit underutilised (just like Lizard in The Amazing Spiderman) his character development was just not there.
Viper is there in the movie for the most part she was good but you are not gonna come the movie and say viper stole the show no it was Logan who did.
Overall it was a good movie but a better climax is what it needed, it was better than X-men Origins Wolverine so there's that. Its not gonna win oscars or anything but still if you are fan of Wolverine and mindless action set-pieces you will enjoy the movie.
